Sketch Comedy
EACH MONTH we have a different sketch comedy group come and perform at the Show!
This is a great way for Filmmakers and Directors to meet local actors and talent that they can cast in their films and upcoming projects!
Each month, we will have a different Stand Up Comedian and Sketch group. We will have voting at The Show! and the winner will get to perform at a major Theater right here in Austin!

THE NEW MOVEMENT
The New Movement opened in Austin, TX in February 2009 as a full time comedy conservatory. Founders Chris Trew and Tami Nelson met in 2004 while taking improv classes in New Orleans and had long dreamed of running their own theater and conservatory. TNM brought something new to the Austin Improv scene – a specific approach to the craft that couldn’t be found in a book or anywhere else in the country. The difference paid off as TNM attracted both eager rookies and veteran performers.

Improvisational comedy features actors who can live in the moment and in their rich imaginations. The audience becomes a part of the performance as the actors create scenes from crowd suggestions. The Show! will feature a new comedy troupe every month to perform between films. Filmmakers, keep an eye out for your next leading man or woman!
